Sporting Events

Sub Rosa offers considerable experience in the event management of major sporting and other public events. In particular, our personnel have been responsible for the health and safety risk assessment at the Formula 1 British Grand Prix since 2003. This is a demanding and challenging role at a prestigious event watched by hundreds of millions of people globally.

The 2005 event which was attended by over 180, 000 people overall, commenced on the 8th of July, the day after the tragic events of the bombings in London. This horrific episode added a huge dimension to the entire event and involved considerable additional emergency planning and liaison with the emergency services.

The demand for vigilance and additional security measures was unprecedented. Our staff discreetly initiated numerous instances of positive action, unnoticed by the general public, and in doing so minimised any potential threat of harm to them. Although there were a large number of security incidents throughout the weekend these were positively dealt with by Sub Rosa Personnel.

We are also able to offer training and NVQ assessment to security personnel, grandstand stewards and supervisors, a service which we currently undertake at various major sporting venues across the UK. Please contact us for further details.
