Corporate Investigation

Theft, fraud or misconduct by an employee, or group of employees, can represent significant harm to an organisation, either in terms of financial loss, adverse publicity or possibly both.

Such matters may not always be a criminal act and therefore will not warrant police investigation. Examples of this can be cases of malingering or breaches of professional standards by an employee, for example, improper or unethical association with clients or competitors.

In cases involving criminality, limited police resources and public interest issues may not always allow for a lengthy and in depth investigation. In our experience, some clients may also choose to avoid police involvement in view of the negative media coverage that can be drawn. To an extent this is understandable in that such adverse publicity can sometimes represent greater damage to the organisation than the initial actions of the offender.

Sub Rosa offers corporate investigation services staffed by robust and highly trained ex-police investigators, all of whom possess an extensive CID background and consequential experience in criminal investigation. Each is fully conversant with current legislation, evidential procedures, evidence preservation and continuity, custody procedures, interview techniques, statement taking and Court procedures.

We offer a discreet and highly confidential investigation service which involves close liaison with the client at every stage. Sub Rosa always adopts a policy of best practice in all situations, and will be able to advise the client on what is likely to be the most practical and cost effective next step in any situation. We will also liaise with, and present our evidence to, the police or other regulatory bodies should this become appropriate, subject to consultation with the client.

Often an investigation may have to be supported by surveillance or technical means, both of which Sub Rosa is able to offer to the client should it be required. The benefits of this are that we can offer an in-house and seamless transition from overt to covert investigation whilst maintaining the highest level of client confidentiality and liaison.

Sub Rosa is able to offer extensive experience of undertaking investigations for a variety of high profile corporate clients with an exceptional success rate. If you have an investigative requirement we would be pleased to discuss your particular situation with you.
